How Potty Training Works in Puppy Preschool
Puppies already want to go to the bathroom away from where they sleep. Preschool builds on that natural instinct. Your pup stays with us for two or four extra weeks after eight weeks old, and we train them ourselves, right here in our home.
House training follows a consistent schedule with steady reinforcement, alongside crate training, a first introduction to the leash, and first words: sit, stay and come. Our started pups get the same training and are ready to come home with it already underway.

The Strong Difference in Puppies Who Have Already Started Potty Training
When breeders don't condition their puppies to know where it is appropriate to use the potty, new owners are confronted with a confused little puppy who will just do their business anywhere! But it's not the puppy's fault. The poor thing doesn't know any better. Commonly, breeders will make this problem worse by using newspapers or puppy pads all throughout the early puppy spaces. This encourages the puppies to go to the bathroom right next to their sleeping, eating, and watering places.
As you can probably already tell, this is a recipe for disaster.
In Puppy Preschool, we reinforce the puppy's natural inclination to pee away from their sleeping area, and this makes your job when your new puppy comes home much simpler and much less stressful.

Will My Puppy Be Fully Potty Trained?
We get this question all the time. Even with Preschool, these pups are started, not finished. No puppy is fully potty trained at ten or twelve weeks old. Preschool pups are conditioned to want to use the bathroom outside, but at such a young age, you need to remember a few key factors.
First, they have really small bladders, and they will need to use the bathroom at regular intervals. Second, they won't be familiar with your home right away, and they'll need to get familiar with your expectations in their new environment.

You'll know exactly what your pup has been working on, and if you follow the tips we provide, you and your pup should have a much easier time of it!
