DoodleBrood Puppy Preschool

Skip the hardest part of puppy training.

An add-on for families who'd like their puppy to get a head start. We train them ourselves, right here in our home. Your pup stays with us for two or four extra weeks, living as part of our family, starting as early as eight weeks old.

Why Preschool

Start on page ten instead of page one.

You still get a puppy at puppy age: ten or eleven weeks with the two-week program, right in the window you want for bonding and settling in. You just skip the first hard stretch, the part where you're explaining to a puppy the basics of what you expect from them.

Your pup learns with the people and surroundings they already trust, at the age when routines start to stick.

By go-home day

What we typically see

Very consistent in the crate

A good chunk of the way there on house training

A head start on the leash

No ten-week-old walks nicely yet, but your pup will have met the collar and leash and started learning that the person holding it is worth their attention.

Honest expectations

These pups are started, not finished.

Two weeks is an introduction. It lays a lot of groundwork, but how far any one puppy gets depends on the puppy: how quickly they pick things up and how much maturity they have at this age.

What you're getting is a puppy who already knows what learning is and knows what we're asking when we ask. You'll know exactly what they've been doing, so you can pick it right up at home.

Preschool questions

Things you might want to know

Will my puppy be fully potty trained?

No puppy is fully trained at this age, and we won't pretend otherwise. Your pup will come home with a strong routine and grass association that makes finishing the job much easier.

Can I add Preschool after I reserve?

Yes. Just let us know before your pup turns 8 weeks old, when Preschool fees are due.

Does my puppy miss out on bonding time?

No. With the two-week program your pup comes home at ten or eleven weeks, right in the window you want for bonding and settling in. Until then they're living as part of our family, kids and all.

Is delivery still available?

Yes. Door-to-door delivery across the Midwest and Eastern US works the same with any Preschool plan.
